MEMBERSHIP CHALLENGES
The club has been fortunate over the years to have a few people who have been instrumental in keeping the club going and moving it forward to what you see today. Unfortunately, we have lost many key members in the past few years, and to recognize them for they dedication to the club we will be having three challenges, for members only.
The Founders Challenge (OPEN): In memory of the founding fathers of the club: Harry Enloe, Wally Yoder, Orville Maxwell and Larry Gartner. There will be a $200 purse for the member with the highest combined score (same dog) over the weekend.
The Volunteer Challenge (PRO-NOVICE): In memory of Laura Tomaszewski, a tireless worker for the club, and always there to volunteer for anything. There will be a working crook for the member with the highest combined score (same dog) over the weekend.
The Teachers Challenge (NOVICE): In memory of Becky Goodwin “The Teacher”, without her dedication and hard work this club would not be here. There will be a starter Whistle for the member with the highest combined score over the weekend (same dog).
MEMBERS CHALLENGE RULES
YOUTH INCENTIVE
We continue to reach out to Youth Handlers (under 18 years of age) by offering free entry into our Novice or Ranch class … Handler/Dog must have reached the proficiency for the class entered. Check the box on the entry form for Youth Handler on the Entry Form. Also, this is a perfect learning opportunity so Youth Handlers are encouraged to sign up for a volunteer opportunity … help will be given, or handler can ghost follow an experienced person. If you know of a young handler team, encourage them to sign up, they do not have to be a member. Any questions can be directed to the Trial Secretary.
